Hendrik D. Carleton is a geophysicist in the Structures Laboratory at the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station. He received a bachelor's degree in geology from Louisiana State University. He was a recipient of the Department of the Army Research and Development Achievement Award in 1984 for work in the area of explosive excavation.
